At the end of the first summer in 1994 we had finished the first pond, which has since become known as the lower pond. The stream has been rerouted now to drain into the upper pond. A boardwalk now covers the concrete walkway near the house. |

The garden matures a little with the addition of the "upper" pond by the end of the second season of construction. |
